Forensic / Clinical Psychologist

Greater Manchester Probation Trust has a proven record in valuing the contribution psychology can make to public protection. We are seeking to employ a second psychologist to our MAPPA Support Unit to enhance our risk assessment and risk management procedures for high risk offenders.
You will play an active role in supporting Offender Managers in their work, through consultancy and training. You will be expected to complete psychological assessments on offenders and to devise intervention plans to be delivered directly by you or to assist Offender managers in doing so. You will need excellent communication skills and have an approachable and flexible working style. You should be registered with the HPC and have experience of working with sexual and violent offenders.
Hours of work are 14 per week and actual attendance days and times are to be negotiated. All employees are eligible to enter our pension scheme and a generous holiday entitlement is on offer.

You will be required to complete an application form and submit two anonymous assessment reports for short listing.
Completed applications must be returned by 23 February 2012. Interviews will be held on the afternoons of Friday, 9 March and Monday, 12 March 2012.
