All Learning & Development activity underpins GMPT's People Strategy. The Strategy aims to ensure we make the right level of investment in our people, to close the gap between our ambition and our capacity to deliver. It is through our employees that we will transform GMPT and we want them to be proud to work for an organisation that makes a difference. This is why our people are our most valuable resource.
Our People Strategy is underpinned by the Workforce and People Development Strategies. The latter involves raising skill levels across the organisation and developing a shared culture that promotes innovation and change. It aims to create a workforce where employees are provided with a stimulating and empowering environment in which to work and where we make the most of the diverse skills and talents of our workforce. The value of every employee's contribution is enhanced by communicating expectations to staff; developing skills, attitudes and behaviours; encouraging, celebrating and awarding achievement.
Effective leadership is crucial to ensure that a focused environment and culture is created, that employees are motivated and skilled and to this end we provide a wide ranging programme of learning & development events which are designed to help managers and their staff perform effectively in their roles.
We are committed to the induction of new employees and ensure that they are introduced to their new environment and responsibilities effectively. Furthermore, we offer a range of options from 1 to 1 support, personal development plans to formal training for everyone. The learning and development calendar includes accredited programmes, vocational training, management / leadership development, mandatory / statutory training events and targeted inventions for certain roles.
As our services transform and roles change, we offer workforce development solutions to continuously develop our people so that as many of them as possible reach their full potential.
